Frequently Asked Questions

CBD Related

Will I get high?
No. CBD is non-psychotropic and will not induce any type of high
Is it legal?
As long as your CBD is derived from industrial Hemp, containing less than the legal limit of THC (.3%), then it is federally legal and can cross state lines. Certain states may have specific regulations on CBD.
What is it good for?
Studies suggest that CBD has a multitude of benefits. Ultimately, CBD is a regulator and aims to balance our internal functions. The goal is Homeostasis.
How do I use it?

Depending on what you are trying to accomplish. There are a number of different applications including topicals for external use, sublingual and edibles for internal use, inhalation, as well as transdermal and suppositories.

Will I fail a drug test?

This depends largely on the type of CBD product consumed. If the product is full spectrum, it contains THC. If you are concerned about getting tested, you will want to steer clear of full spectrum products. Instead, look for Broad Spectrum (THC FREE) and Isolate based products. Even so, a FALSE POSITIVE is always possible, and if this happens to be the case, we recommend demanding a retake. Always be sure to check the COAs to verify there is no detectable THC in your products.

Is there such thing as “too much CBD”?
CBD is non-toxic. However, our bodies can only absorb so much CBD. This means the rest will be flushed out of your body without being used. Some people have also experienced minor side effects including sleepiness and headache. If you experience any negative side effects, it is most likely because you are taking an excessive amount.
What is the difference between “CBD Isolate,” “Broad Spectrum,” and “Full Spectrum” CBD?

Isolate is the CBD molecule isolated from the rest of the plant chemicals. Broad spectrum contains more than one plant chemical but not all (typically the THC is removed). Full spectrum means that all naturally occurring plant chemicals are still intact, including THC.

Can my pets use it?

YES! All animals with a backbone have the same Endocannabinoid System (ECS) as we do and they respond very well to CBD. If you are planning on using a topical for your pet, make sure there are no essential oils or any plant oils that your pet may be sensitive to. We offer pet friendly oils that are suitable for dogs and cats

Can CBD interact with my medications?
Yes, CBD can interact with certain medications, either making them more effective, or totally negating the effects. We encourage you to speak with a Cannabis or CBD friendly physician to get advice on how to incorporate CBD in conjunction with your current medications.
What is the difference between Hemp Extract, Hemp Oil & CBD? Hemp Seed Oil?
Many people interchange these words, and many times incorrectly. “Hemp Extract,” and “Hemp Oil,” will typically refer to the full – or broad spectrum oils mentioned previously. These oils are extracted from the areal parts (flowers and leaves) of the plant. When using the word, “CBD,” it can mean any three (isolate, broad spectrum or full spectrum), but in most cases, it will mean CBD isolate (also extracted from areal parts of the plant). Many people misinterpret “Hemp Oil” to be “Hemp Seed Oil,” which is pressed oils from the seeds of the plant. Hemp Seed Oil contains no detectable cannabinoids (neither THC, nor CBD, etc.) and should not be mistaken for CBD related products. Hemp Seed Oil is a great nutritional supplement, containing healthy fats, proteins, and other trace minerals. Hemp Seed Oil can also be used as a great CARRIER OIL for CBD, as CBD is fat soluble and needs a fat to be absorbed by your body.

Absolutely! You can find the most recent COAs for each product on their individual product pages.
How much should I take?
There are no dosing requirements. The efficacy of the serving size depends on the individual person. We encourage you to experiment until you find a serving size that works best for you! Keep in mind that CBD is very concentrated, so it is important to start low and increase gradually.
How do you use your salve topicals?

Apply a generous amount to area of discomfort and thoroughly massage in.

How long before I start to feel it?
This also depends largely on the individual person. It also depends on the form of application that you use. It can take up to several weeks to be fully circulating throughout the bloodstream, so we encourage you to be consistent with your initial serving size for several weeks before adjusting your dose.
Why are all of your ingredients listed as Organic, except the CBD?
Our CBD is CO2 extracted, and although CO2 extraction is the cleanest, most desired form of extraction, the process, and therefore the finished product, cannot technically be considered “Organic”.
